Soccer is the the world's most popular sport, played by over 250 million people in more than 200 countries. It is particularly popular in Europe, Central and South America, and Africa, it has a growing influence in North America and Asia.

There are many theories of when futbol/soccer actually started. Some history shows it started thousands of years ago in China, other tales explain that the Aztecs played a form of soccer.

Most recent history explains that the organized games started in England in the late 1880's.
